Cape Breton house prices saw strong growth from 2017 to 2018 in the non-waterfront category, increasing from $99,562 in 2017 to $139,383 in 2018 or 40% (source: Re/max 2018 Recreational Property Report).
Cape Breton house prices had somewhat mixed results from 2018 to 2019. For instance, the median price of waterfront properties decreased from $229,310 in 2018 to $214,410 in 2019 or -7%. Alternatively, the median price in the non-waterfront category was relatively flat from 2018 ($139,383) to 2019 ($138,308) or -1%(source: Re/max 2019 Recreational Property Report).
