  • $750,000 will get you a three bedroom, two bathroom waterfront cottage covering approximately 1,275 square feet.

Muskoka cottage prices saw strong growth from 2017 to 2018. In the waterfront category, the median price increased from $850,000 in 2017 to $1,425,000 in 2018 or a whopping 68%. In the non-waterfront category, the median price increased from $238,000 in 2017 to $294,500 in 2018 or 24% (source: Re/max 2018 Recreational Property Report).

Muskoka cottage prices showed mixed results from 2018 to 2019. For instance, the median price of waterfront properties decreased from $1,425,000 in 2018 to $1,175,000 in 2019 or -18%. Alternatively, the median price increased in the non-waterfront category from $294,500 in 2018 to $376,000 in 2019 or 28%. Finally, water access properties deceased from $435,000 in 2018 to $404,000 in 2019 or -7%.
